Black Isle Woodturning offers a range of woodturning courses and training for individuals, small groups and businesses.
All courses are held in the purpose designed turning workshop which is fully equipped with a range of woodturning tools and machinery, safety gear and resources.
Introduction to Woodturning – Full Day Course
Course Fee: £150
Venue: Black Isle Woodturning Training Workshop
Course Details: The day course concentrates on the fundamental techniques of woodturning. We start by looking at selection of suitable timber and lathe set up, then move on to tool sharpening and correct use of tools. Throughout the day you will work on a project designed to help you learn and practise various turning techniques and improve your knowledge, skill and confidence in woodturning.
Max class size: 1 person*
*COVID -19 Regulations – All courses are being delivered on a one to one basis until further notice. All equipment and personal protective equipment is cleaned and disinfected before and after each use.
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm (1 hour for lunch) It may be possible to adjusted timings to suit your travel arrangements.
